Nick Palmer

5th Dan - Head coach

Nick is a 5th Dan and BJA Level 2 coach. He has been a member of the British Masters squad. Through his Judo contacts the club has formed strong links with Marburg and Helsinki university Judo clubs, with whom we regularly arrange exchanges.

Alec Edwards

6th Dan

Alec is currently a 6th Dan, and was formerly the head coach of CUJC. He holds a Level 3 Coaching qualification, and serves as a Senior Examiner and a Senior Kata Examiner for the BJA.

Kat McDonald

1st Dan

Kat is a 1st Dan and BJA Level 3 coach. She joins us from Anglia Ruskin University judo club, where she is the head coach.

Dean Pocock

1st Dan

Dean is a 1st Dan and BJA Level 2 coach. He has been training in judo for over 20 years.

Mark Burrell

2nd Dan

Mark is a 2nd Dan and BJA Level 2 coach, and has been training in judo for over 30 years. He current takes the beginners course each year.
